In today's computer world, digital audio files have become extremely popular. That's because they are very easy to play, they have a small file size, high quality and are supported by most media player devices. But there are times when audio files need a bit of adjusting, maybe for removing unwanted parts from the file, for raising or lowering the volume or just for making the song unique and more interesting. These tasks can be easily completed if one uses the right tool for the jobs. A program that allows easy audio editing is Power Sound Editor Free. This is a free editor that is simple enough to be used by anyone but powerful enough to be used by advanced and experienced computer users.

The software is compatible with almost any version of the Windows operating system and can be installed using just a couple of clicks. It takes up about 30 MB of hard disk space and requires lower system resources than other similar programs.

Regarding the interface of Power Sound Editor Free, despite the fact that it contains a lot of features and options, they are all arranged in such a way that anyone can find them quickly. Power Sound Editor Free supports a wide range of audio file formats, like FLAC, MP3, WAV and so on. After the user imports the desired audio file into the program, he can apply different effects and corrections to it. For example, he can add reverb or echo effects to certain portions of the song using various settings.

In case the audio file was recorded from an old vinyl or cassette, Power Sound Editor Free can improve the quality of the audio file by removing all the clicks and pops that may be contained by the recording. All the audio files imported into the program can be displayed as a spectrum or as a soundwave.

After an audio file has been edited, it can be saved in one of the audio formats supported by the program or can be burned to an audio CD.

Pros

It offers support for a wide range of audio formats, for importing and also for saving. Besides that, it features a large number of effects that can be applied to the entire song or only to portions of it. Furthermore, it can fix audio files recorded from old vinyls or cassettes, improving their audio quality. Last but not least, the interface is simple and intuitive.

Cons

The trial version only supports WAV files for saving. Power Sound Editor Free is a complete audio editor that allows anyone to make his sound files unique.
